Cultural informatics research and applications: State of the art and open challenges


The aim of this workshop is to bring together projects, research groups, stakeholders, independent researchers and practitioners who are active in the broader area of cultural informatics in order to present the current state of affairs, discuss open challenges faced by each one and explore possible collaborations. The ultimate goal is that tools, technologies, know-how, methods and best practices can be exchanged, thus significantly improving our efficiency and management/allocation of public and private resources.


The workshop is organized as a part of the EUROMED 2018 conference that will be held in Nicossia, Cyprus from October 29 to November 3, 2018.

Structure

The workshop comprises three segments, each one addressing a different goal.
  1. For the facilitation of collaboration, a focused meeting to document available expertise, discuss open challenges and seek complementarity and opportunities for cooperation.
  2. For scientific dissemination, short presentations in a typical conference setting (at EUROMED 2018).
  3. For public dissemination, an open exhibition in which each participant is invited to participate with a demo.
